Gno Land (GNOT)

What is Gno land?

Gno.land is a Layer 1 smart contract platform where contracts are written in Gno - an interpreted and fully deterministic version of Go. It is built by NewTendermint, a blockchain development company led by Jae Kwon, who previously co-created Tendermint and Cosmos.

Its core feature is Go-based development: contracts use familiar Go syntax and can only be published as full, human-readable source code, never as compiled bytecode. As a result, developers can read, import, or fork any contract without learning Solidity or Rust, and users can check exactly what code they're signing.

In the gno.land blockchain, three pieces do most of the work. GnoVM runs the code, meters gas, and persists state without the usual storage boilerplate, while Tendermint2 handles consensus and networking, and Gnoweb serves as the browser for every package on the chain. On top of that, gno.land uses a storage deposit model where each byte saved on-chain locks $GNOT as a deposit, and deleting the data refunds it.

In mid-September 2026, gno.land launched its full mainnet (gnoland-1), with self-reported 2,400+ merged pull requests, 650K+ active wallets, and 680K+ in Test13 transactions.

To date, its ecosystem apps include the Adena wallet, GnoSwap DEX, GnoScan explorer, and Boards - an on-chain forum. The first three come from Seoul-based Onbloc, which took a ₩6.1B investment from NewTendermint in May 2025.

🪙 $GNOT token: Gno land TGE set for September 16, 2026. Gno land coin pays for gas and storage deposits, and is set to cover IBC transfers once cross-chain connections go live.

According to the post on X, ~43.6% of the supply is allocated to the gno.land airdrop. 350M GNOT will go to a May 2022 Cosmos Hub governance snapshot and 231M to ATONE and PHOTON holders from a December 2025 AtomOne snapshot. At TGE, ~14.8% of the initial circulating supply is going to be unlocked, including the 150M investor token allocation. The rest of the supply unlocks at 4% per month over 24 months.

The July 20–27 public auction on Sonar by Echo cleared at the $0.0645 floor and raised $1,183,664. On September 14, 2026, KuCoin announced a Spotlight IEO offering 7,751,938 GNOT at the same price, with spot trading opening on September 16, 2026. The listing is going to occur on September 16 on KuCoin and Kraken. 

Alongside the listing, KuCoin is going to run the Gempool contest campaign throughout September 16-26, allowing users to deposit $GNOT and share a pool of 775,200 $GNOT token rewards.

• Weak product concept (another L1 chain);
• Weak narrative for L1 chain coins;
• High token inflation from unlocks (~3.54%);
• Weak network of partners;
• No info on backers despite private investors having a big chunk of token supply;
• KuCoin Gempool tokens are often used for market manipulation and increased volatility during that period of time.
