Build on Bitcoin (BoB) is the first EVM-compatible hybrid Layer-2 network powered by Bitcoin’s merged mining mechanism and Ethereum’s OP Stack. It delivers native Bitcoin PoW-level security while enabling developers to build or port BTC-powered DeFi, advanced NFTs, bridges, and other dApps with minimal code changes.
The native $BOB token powers network fees and DAO governance while facilitating participation in the ecosystem’s growth.
In August 2025, BOB completed a $9.5 million strategic funding round as part of multiple rounds since December 2024, increasing total private funding to $21 million. The round featured strong support from returning tier-1 investors including Castle Island Ventures and Ledger Cathay Capital, alongside new participants such as Amber Group and Sats Ventures.
