Sonic is a rebranded blockchain launched in 2018 EVM-compatible L1 - Fantom network aiming to reach over 10,000 TPS. It aims to establish a robust environment for web3 developers to build on its network, offering fast and cheap transactions while incentivizing them with multiple funding and fee monetization programs.
It is powered by the native $S token which will have the same utility and token economy of the old $FTM coin as $FTM holders will be able to convert their holdings into $S with a 1:1 ratio.
In honor of Sonic's rebranding, it launched a testnet and quest campaign, aiming to airdrop 6% of the total $S supply, worth around $141M to users.
Although Sonic Labs has already mentioned the prize pool of over 200M $S tokens, there is still no info about the potential criteria for the airdrop. Hence, we suggest you diversify your efforts and engage in the three main ways with Sonic and its old chain - Fantom network:
Sonic Arcade is a recently launched event, which is mentioned by the project itself as a second stage on the way to the airdrop. Hence, it is important to participate there if you want to qualify for $S airdrop.
To participate, you need to visit the Sonic faucet, add the testnet network to your wallet, and acquire some test tokens.
Finally, visit the Sonic Arcade page and play any of the games available on the Sonic Labs’ chain to earn airdrop points.
Additionally, to the Sonic testnet arcade, we suggest you engage with other dApps as well once they appear on the Sonic testnet. However, currently, there are only swaps on the same Sonic faucet page available, where you can acquire not only Sonic tokens to join the Arcade but the “Corals” to make some swaps from one currency to another, thus, increasing your activity on the testnet.
Although there have been no mentions of the airdrop multiplier for participation in Galxe, we assume it may somehow benefit participants as tasks there require you to engage with Fantom mainnet and complete social tasks. The task types range from simple “bridge tokens to the network” to “hold vested coins of the specific protocol.”
To join the quest campaign, visit the Sonic Labs’ Galaxy page, log in or sign up and start clearing quests.
Good Luck! 🍀
