Stacks is a leading Bitcoin Layer-2 blockchain that enables smart contracts and decentralized applications to inherit Bitcoin's robust security. The Stacks Community DeGrants program is a community-led microgrants initiative designed to fund practical, creative, and ecosystem-positive projects. Funded by the Stacks Endowment, the program operates in specific cohorts with selection decisions made by rotating Community Stewards. For Cohort 4, a total reward pool of $25,000 is shared among six selected projects, with individual grants ranging from $3,000 to $5,000. Selected individual applicants must complete KYC requirements and deliver on explicitly defined milestones to receive their funding.

How to join Stacks - Community DeGrants?
To participate in the Stacks Community DeGrants program, individuals must apply during an active cohort application window via the Zero Authority platform. Organizations and teams are ineligible; only 1 lead applicant can apply per project. Applicants need to provide a comprehensive description of what they plan to build, launch, or host, explaining its relevance and potential impact on the Stacks ecosystem.
During the application process, participants must define 2 clear milestones. The first milestone should focus on the delivery or launch of the project, such as publishing content, launching an NFT, or releasing a live tool. The second milestone must demonstrate measurable impact, tracking metrics like user engagement, attendance, or wallet funding.
Once submitted, applications are reviewed by designated Community Stewards who score projects based on relevance, feasibility, and impact. Selected grantees are required to complete a KYC process for payment processing. Funding is milestone-based, and participants are expected to share their progress publicly with the broader Stacks community.
