Story Protocol is a layer 1 blockchain designed to establish the world’s first IPFi (Intellectual Property Finance) ecosystem. It enables users to verify ownership, store, trade, and monetize IP assets more quickly and seamlessly compared to traditional methods. The network is powered by the native $IP token, which will be used for staking and paying fees within the platform.
Recently, the platform launched its first testnet phase, participation in which is likely to be a key criteria to qualify for the Story Protocol airdrop. To help, the CoinLaunch team has written a comprehensive guide on how to participate in the Story testnet.
To participate in the potential airdrop from Story Protocol, you have to engage with the platform in a multiple ways, including:
Currently, you can get “Reverse”, “IP” and “OG” roles. The first one can be obtained for adding a “reversal card” reaction under any post in #announcement channel:
To acquire the second role (“IP”), visit the Story bot and complete small social tasks:
Finally, to get an “OG” role, you have to actively engage with other community members in Discord and keep the activity within the channels as consistent as possible, since the role may be removed due to inactivity.
To proceed with testnet $IP staking, you need to acquire these tokens from any of the faucets mentioned in the Story Protocol docs.
Some faucets may require you to complete social tasks or verify your wallet/account/humanity, depending on which one you choose to use. If any faucet isn't working or you encounter issues completing tasks, try another one from the list in the docs.
Then, visit the Story Protocol staking page, select a validator, and stake your $IP tokens.
❗️Note: Currently, nodes require a minimum of 1,024 $IP to proceed with staking. According to the team, this is due to a surge in activity on the testnet, which prompted an increase in the staking requirement.
Once the issue is resolved, you will be able to stake tokens on the validators' page again. In the meantime, we suggest acquiring as much $IP as possible through faucets and engaging with dapps on the network.
Using the same $IP tokens, you can interact with multiple DeFi protocols to increase activity on the Story Protocol network. Currently, there are two functioning DeFi apps on the Story testnet:
Additionally, keep an eye on updates within the Story ecosystem via its website or social media and engage with as many protocols as possible to increase your chances of qualifying for a potential Story airdrop in the future.
Good luck! 🤞
