Build on Bitcoin (BoB) is the first EVM-compatible hybrid Layer-2 network powered by Bitcoin’s merged mining mechanism and Ethereum’s OP Stack. It delivers native Bitcoin PoW-level security while enabling developers to build or port BTC-powered DeFi, advanced NFTs, bridges, and other dApps with minimal code changes.
The native $BOB token powers network fees and DAO governance while facilitating participation in the ecosystem’s growth.
In July 2024, BOB completed a $1.6 million Strategic round led by Ledger Cathay Fund with participation from prominent angel investors representing Aave, Curve, Magic Eden, BlackRock, and other leading protocols. Part of the funds was allocated to launch a BOB incubator for Bitcoin infrastructure startups.
