dTelecom is a decentralized real-time network for voice, video, and Voice AI. It connects companies that need live media and speech capacity with node operators who supply it. Sessions run on a horizontally scalable WebRTC Selective Forwarding Unit, and agents pay per request through x402. The planned $DTEL token is for node incentives and community distribution, and was not sold in this grant.
On 21 April 2025 dTelecom announced a development grant from ElevenLabs to speed AI voice work, including personalized voice avatars and more inclusive tools. No amount, valuation, program tier, or close date was published. The April recap says the support goes to research and platform enhancements.
