Ecosystem & Team

The Katana Network is developed with direct support from Polygon Labs via Polygon CDK and strategic guidance from GSR, which advises on UX and provides liquidity. 

Built on the OP Stack, Katana benefits from interoperability with the Optimism Superchain while settling on Ethereum. Its ecosystem launched with integrations such as Sushi (spot liquidity), Morpho (lending), Vertex (derivatives), and infra partners including Chainlink, Safe, Tenderly, and The Graph. Governance and security are managed by multisigs with Polygon Labs, GSR, and Katana Foundation participation.

🪙 Katana Token & Airdrop: The $KAT token is the incentive asset of the network, while gas is paid in ETH. $KAT powers liquidity incentives and governance once transfers are enabled, but tokens remain non-transferable for now. Katana has hinted at a Katana airdrop, yet it is not officially confirmed and should be viewed as a potential retrodrop tied to early usage and community participation.
