Current EVM chains are limited in both transaction speed and computing power, making it hard to run advanced applications on-chain. Even top performers like opBNB fall far short of Web2 server capabilities, processing only thousands of transactions per second vs. millions off-chain. These performance gaps mean complex tasks that take seconds on-chain can run in milliseconds off-chain. 

MegaETH is an EVM-compatible blockchain designed to deliver Web2-level real-time performance and match the speed of traditional cloud servers. It features ultra-high throughput, scalable compute power, and uniquely low-latency response times even under pressure, enabling developers to build complex, performance-intensive applications without compromise.

MegaETH achieves ultra-fast performance by implementing several key architectural innovations:

• Specialized Sequencers – Sequencers handle transaction execution, block creation, and submission to L1, streamlining processing and finality.
• Optimized Node Types – Read replicas, full nodes, and provers work together to maintain chain state, validate transactions, and generate proofs efficiently.
• Decentralized Data Availability (DA) – Ensures all critical data is accessible and verifiable across the network, enabling secure and trustless operations even if sequencers act maliciously.

🪙 MegaETH token: The $MEGA token will be the protocol’s native token, but currently, there is no information available about its tokenomics or utility. Nevertheless, like most L2s, it is most likely to be released for decentralization of the sequencer and governance purposes. It also runs an active testnet campaign, which we assume will be the major criterion to qualify for the MegaETH airdrop.
