Opinion Labs (OPN)

Opinion Labs is a decentralized infrastructure that transforms ideas, predictions, and real-world events into tradable markets, enabling anyone to create and trade on their insights using any ERC-20 token. The project operates under Opinion Protocol, introducing a permissionless, scalable solution for prediction markets. It simplifies market creation, enhances price discovery, and opens up seamless trading for any dApps to plug into and participate. 

As of April 2025, it features 2 main products:

• AlphaOrBeta: A Web3 polling and prediction network aimed at revolutionizing online interactions into lucrative opportunities. The platform allows you to vote, create your own events, and earn rewards in the native tokens of 3 available networks: Arbitrum One, Mantle Mainnet, and opBNB Mainnet;
• O.LAB: A fully decentralized and permissionless prediction market platform that lets anyone create, trade, and provide liquidity to markets using any ERC-20 token. It transforms ideas and events into tradable assets, enabling open participation from humans, algorithms, and AI.

⚙️ Opinion Labs Protocol uses a Central Limit Order Book (CLOB) to match buy and sell orders for real-time prediction shares, supporting both market and limit orders. Orders are sorted by price and filled on a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis, ensuring efficient execution and transparent pricing. 

Another foundational component of O.LAB's decentralized truth machine is the Consensus Oracle. It records verifiable data on-chain through an optimistic mechanism where anyone can propose data by posting a specified bond. If challenged, the dispute is resolved via a token-weighted vote, ensuring integrity and decentralized verification across prediction markets.

🪙 Opinion Labs Token: The native $OPN token serves as the utility and governance core of the Opinion ecosystem. Holders use it for staking to curate markets and earn fee shares, participating in decentralized dispute resolution via token-weighted votes, governance decisions on protocol updates and fees, and accessing premium features such as AI oracle data. Total supply is capped at 1 billion, with significant allocations for community airdrops and incentives.
