Rysk is a DeFi volatility yield protocol on HyperEVM offering a new model for on-chain options trading.
It aims to deliver one of the first fully on-chain, DeFi-friendly approaches to covered calls and cash-secured puts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, $HYPE LSTs, Solana, and more. Rysk Finance DeFi protocol achieves this through two core components: a Protocol handling collateralization, settlement, and options logic, as well as an RFQ System executing option trades through auctions.
How does Rysk Finance work? 🤔
For example, $HYPE is currently priced at $55, but a user wants to sell at $65 within a month. The user deposits $HYPE, chooses an expiry date, and sells covered call options, creating a short position on the underlying asset to sell higher while earning a premium. The deposited collateral is locked via a smart contract and cannot be withdrawn until expiry.
At the expiry, there are two outcomes to occur:
For cash-secured puts, users do the opposite, selling a put option collateralized by stablecoins, aiming to buy $HYPE below its current market price.
