Sentiment is a non-custodial lending protocol with $15M+ in TVL, built for advanced DeFi strategies that enable borrowers to margin against multi-asset portfolios instead of single-token collateral. By combining isolated pools, programmable risk parameters, and liquidity aggregation via Super Pools, it delivers flexible borrowing with improved risk-adjusted yields for lenders.

Sentiment Protocol differs from money markets or overcollateralized lending markets since borrowers can cross-collateralize assets and positions across different venues and markets. Here are its core principles:

• Isolated Pools: A lending design where each pool has fully separated risk exposure, ensuring lenders are only affected by the specific collateral and strategies they opt into, while improving overall security and risk-adjusted returns;
   
• Interest Rate Models: A flexible system that lets lending pools choose between fixed rates for predictable borrowing costs or dynamic, utilization-based rates that automatically adjust interest to balance capital supply and demand;
   
• Positions: A smart-contract–based borrowing system where each user manages fully isolated collateral and debt, enabling capital-efficient leverage and complex strategies (like cross-margin, delta-neutral, or pair trades) without pooled or rehypothecated assets.

Sentiment pivoted to Onyx (pro trading terminal on Hyperliquid) and has sunset Sentiment v2 fully on April 22, 2026, with deposits/borrows halted and final wind-down measures applied. However, on October 10, 2026, Onyx protocol also announced a shutdown. 

🪙 Sentiment Token: As of January 2026, the project hasn’t disclosed much info about its native token, however, the project claims to create and distribute a governance token, so key stakeholders can govern future iterations of the protocol.
