Distinct Possibility Studios, founded by EverQuest co-creator John Smedley, is building Reaper Actual - a persistent open-world shooter on Etherlink, the EVM-compatible Layer 2 built on Tezos.
In July 2025, the studio raised $30.5M to develop and launch the game on Steam and Epic Games Store. The round was co-led by Bitkraft Ventures and Brevan Howard Digital, with backing from Delphi Ventures, Tezos Foundation, Shima Capital, Hashed, North Island Ventures, and Decasonic.
