Rome Protocol is a decentralized system built on Solana that provides shared sequencing for Ethereum rollups. It utilizes rollups as separate Neon EVM instances on the Solana blockchain. This way, it delivers high transaction throughput and low-cost fees to enable scalable, secure, and composable cross-rollup transactions.
On July 9, 2024, Rome Protocol raised $9M in a Seed round led by HashKey Capital and Hack VC, with backing from Polygon Ventures, Robot Ventures, MH Ventures, Bankless Ventures, and others, alongside angels including Anatoly Yakovenko and Santiago R. Santos.
