Bio Protocol (BIO)
Bio is a fundraising and governance protocol for decentralized science projects. It allows researchers to create a decentralized community, BioDAOs, focused on research in a specific biotechnology field, collect funds from the Bio protocol community, and produce IP assets. Meanwhile, users are getting access to early-stage scientific startups, receiving a share of the specific IP asset.
It is powered by the native $BIO token, which will be used for participating in governance processes within BioDAOs and Bio protocol, as well as accessing private investing rounds of new BioDAOs.
According to the Genesis sale page, the platform managed to raise over $30.2M in a public Genesis token sale, as well as received undisclosed private funding from Binance Labs, 1kx, Boost VC,and Northpond Ventures.
