What is humanity protocol? 🤔

Humanity Protocol is a Sybil-resistant Ethereum L2 blockchain built upon Polygon CDK and powered by Zero-Knowledge technology. 

It simplifies the process of verifying the humanness of users across various web2 and web3 platforms for people without the need to ask users for any vulnerable or personal information such as ID card, home address, etc. This way the platform aims to create a more robust and trustful foundation and mechanism for companies to more effectively, cheaper, and faster get rid of the bots and sybils and validate the identity of the specific user.

Designed with privacy in mind, the Humanity Protocol has two main concepts:

• Palm scanning: Precise and private method of verifying the identity of the user, taking advantage of every human’s anatomical uniqueness;
• Proof of humanity (PoH): A consensus mechanism tailored specifically for effective, fast, and cheap humanity verifications. It is powered by node runners called zkProofers, who verify human identities using the ZK proofs model and earn rewards in $H tokens for each successful validation.

Humanity protocol token ($H): According to the website of the project, $H will be the main Humanity protocol coin used for paying rewards to node validators. While the other token utilities haven’t been mentioned yet, the CoinLaunch team assumes, there is going to be an added staking functionality to secure the consensus mechanism of the platform and a governance feature to enable decentralized voting among its community.

As of January 27th, 2025, the Humanity protocol crypto project running a public testnet, suggesting a Humanity protocol airdrop to its participants, yet the share of the total supply that will be allocated for airdrop remains unknown.
