pumpBTC (PUMP)

pumpBTC is a liquid Bitcoin restaking protocol with over $530M in TVL. Similar to Lombard Finance and Solv Protocol, it leverages the restaking infrastructure of Babylon Labs to deliver users a Bitcoin liquid restaking token - $pumpBTC token.

It allows users to keep full ownership of their funds and even contribute them into any supported DeFi yields while earning rewards from the Babylon Labs restaking protocol. This is achievable by introducing to the BTCFi the same mechanism used in Ethereum restaking protocol’s - creation of a yield bearing tokenized version of the Bitcoin. 

To participate in the liquid restaking of Bitcoin on pumpBTC, users deposit their tokenized Bitcoins to the platform and receive a yield-bearing pumpBTC token. pumpBTC, initially tethered to the price of a Bitcoin in a 1:1 ratio, is continuously increasing when receiving a restaking reward from the Babylon chain by the exact APR ratio promised to stakers. 

This way, users can maintain ownership of their Bitcoins while earning the yield from Bitcoin restaking. What’s more, with support for multiple EVM networks, pumpBTC enables users to restake Bitcoin at significantly lower costs, for example, on the BSC network, compared to doing so via the Bitcoin mainnet, where Babylon Labs operates.

🪙 pumpBTC token: The protocol confirmed release and airdrop of its native token $PUMP. As of March 31st, there is no clear info about the utility of such a token, but our team assumes it will be primarily used for governance and rewarding stakers with airdrops, similar to Solv Protocol, Swell Network, and others.

Considering the loud rumors among the crypto community about the potential launch of the token via Binance Wallet sale and the upcoming TGE, we completely analyzed the pumpBTC crypto project. Here’s what we found:

• Presence of security audits from multiple reputable companies;
• Decent network of investors;
• Diverse network of top-tier partners;
• Good Growth Marketing.

❌ pumpBTC cons:

• No tokenomics yet;
• The project doesn’t align with current market narratives;
• No info about the team;
• Below the average SMM, SEO, Marketing Infrastrucutre, and PR scores;
• Bad Influencer marketing;
• No roadmap.
