Thetanuts Finance (NUTS)

With the v3 upgrade, Thetanuts Finance is refocusing its development facilities on a decentralized blockchain options protocol focused on altcoins. Thetanuts Finance’s market-first v3 architecture leverages existing Basic Vault LP tokens to expand new use cases in blockchain options trading - through a lending marketplace and v3 Uniswap pools that are hosted on the v3 interface.

$XYZ-C (Call Vault LP Token) and $XYZ-P (Put Vault LP Token) represent these tokenized Basic Vault positions and are the basis of all trading strategies on Thetanuts Finance v3.

- High volatility: The volatility of altcoins is higher than that of major currencies, and users need a way to speculate or hedge the volatility of altcoins.

- Lack of means for generating revenue: Some altcoins do not have the ability to generate revenue (e.g., through block rewards), one way being option premiums.

Thetanuts Finance aims to fill this gap in the altcoin options space by leveraging the previous experience of leading the Option Vault protocol with the largest coverage of altcoin options.

On September 11, 2025, the protocol disclosed its app V4, introducing a builder-first, RFQ-powered options infrastructure. This enables greater flexibility for event-driven structures, custom payoffs, tighter spreads via open quoting, and deeper liquidity sourced directly from market participants - all while remaining chain-agnostic, trustless, and fully collateralized.

This evolution supports the broader Theta System vision for a modular options ecosystem.
