Over the past few years, DEX trading has grown significantly. Since June 2024, the DEX-to-CEX spot trading volume ratio has more than doubled, reaching an all-time high share of about 27% of CEXs volume. However, as more users move on-chain in search of profits, especially in the memecoin segment, many traders are starting to realize just how difficult it is to succeed in such a volatile DEX trading environment.

For instance, according to CoinTelegraph’s August 2024 research, a $100 bet on a pump.fun memecoin offers lower odds of winning the bet on a single number in American roulette: only 0.12% against a 2.6%. At the same time, the potential profits from such a memecoin bet are smaller than what you’d win in roulette.

But does that mean staying profitable in the wild world of DEX trading is impossible in the long term? Not necessarily. One of the most effective strategies may be using a DCA trading bot. Previously, it was a trading tool available only on CEXs' trading tools, a DCA bot, but with the release of goodcryptoX, it has become available on DEXs as well.

Hence, we collected multiple trading cases from goodcryptoX users found in the community, as well as cases featured on its YouTube channel, to answer this very question. And today, we’re going to cover one of the most powerful cases we found for you to make your own conclusions.

But first, let’s take a look at what goodcryptoX is.

What is goodcryptoX?

goodcryptoX is a pioneering DEX trading platform that brings advanced CEX trading functionality to the world of decentralized trading across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, BNB Chain, and Solana networks.

From trailing stop orders and on-chart visualization to automated trading strategies, goodcryptoX offers all these features through a Web2-like interface on Web, iOS and Android, in a fully non-custodial manner. The platform is powered by its native $GOOD token, which provides multiple key utilities: revenue sharing, swap fee discounts, trading reward farming and token burns.

What is a DCA Trading Bot?

DCA bot is an advanced trading tool designed specifically to profit from volatile markets. It automatically averages down your position and adjusts the take profit level whenever the market moves against you. Again, the real DCA algo (bot) trades considering price levels and Trading View signals, not time intervals, which is positioned like DCA bot by other dex trading terminals and sniper bot providers on the market.

This way, it increases your chances of turning a profit during the price retracements. While properly automated, this strategy allows you to trade not based on a specific market direction, but on the expectation that the price will not drop too far without a rebound strong enough to hit your Take Profit level.

You can use the DEX DCA bot in three main ways:

  • Safety net: Protect your existing positions from market volatility by setting additional averaging orders in case the price moves against you.
  • Volatility scalper: Capitalize on every price retracement by running the DCA bot on repeat and executing thousands of profitable iterations.
  • Buy the dip: Build long-term holdings in your favorite assets by purchasing during market corrections.

Previously, such functionality was only available on centralized exchanges through such providers as 3Commas, Bitsgap, GoodCrypto and others. But thanks to goodcryptoX, it is now possible to use the DCA bot strategy on DEXs as well.

Now, let’s take a look at a few of the most successful case studies submitted by goodcryptoX users in the public chat and find out whether it is really possible to profit in today’s DEX trading environment.

DEX DCA Trading Bot Case Studies

Case #1: 2200% APY on $BEU with Solana DEX DCA Bot

One of the best-performing bot DCA setups that was shared. As you can see, despite the coin dropping nearly 80% within just six days, the bot managed to generate a 35% ROI using the standard “Degen preset” (fast bot settings, in a few clicks). When converted to APR, that is an annualized return of over 2200% - a result that’s nearly impossible to achieve with manual trading on one coin given the sharp drop of its price.

If you would like to try this setup yourself, all the bot settings are displayed on the screen above. Enjoy!

Case #2: 1100% APY with $HOLD DCA DEX Trading Bot on Solana

Another incredible example of the DCA crypto DEX bot with the standard “Degen” preset in action. Over just eight days, the coin effectively collapsed, dropping by more than 95%. Despite this, the bot still managed to deliver an impressive 25% ROI, equivalent to a 1100% APY. As with the previous case, the full bot settings are shown on the screen.

Case #3: 1000%+ APY with $BORK DCA DEX Trading Bot

One of the first DCA crypto DEX trading bot case studies was covered by goodcryptoX on its YouTube channel. In just three days, the bot achieved a solid 70% return equivalent to nearly 1000% APR, even as BORK coin dropped by over 90%. Interestingly, this success was made possible thanks to another goodcryptoX’s unique feature - trailing take profit orders. All the DCA bot settings can be found in the video review on the goodcryptoX YouTube channel

Case #4: 1200% APY with $SPLAT DEX DCA Crypto Bot

Here you can see an example of the powerful DEX DCA bot + trailing take-profit order combo. By using these two features together, the bot achieved a 100% ROI equivalent to a 1200% APR, within just one month of operation. Remarkably, this result was achieved even though the price of the $SPLAT token remained flat since the bot was launched.

Trailing Stop Order Use Cases for DEX DCA bot

Another outstanding CEX-grade trading feature now available on DEX exclusively via goodcryptoX is the ability to not only attach trailing stop loss and take profit orders, but also use them as entry triggers for your bot.

When triggered, a trailing take profit order follows the price as it moves upward, maintaining a set distance below the market price. This allows you to capture additional gains beyond your initial target as the price continues to rise.

On the other hand, a trailing entry order does exactly the opposite. It tracks the market as it moves downward, staying at a fixed distance above the current price. This ensures that the bot does not enter a trade too early, helping you avoid entries when the market is still falling.

Let’s recap some of the most successful examples of how the trailing stop + DCA bot combo has performed in real market conditions:

Case #1: 33.5% Trailing Take Profit for $SPLAT DEX DCA Bot

One of the most successful examples of trailing take profit for the $SPLAT DEX DCA bot. Initially, the DCA bot was designed to execute a Take Profit order at a 15% level, but when the target was reached, the price continued to rise, and the trailing take profit kept following the price.

As a result, it trailed by an additional 18.5%, and delivered a total of 33.5% profit from a single bot iteration.

Case #2: 100% Trailing Take Profit for $SKINNY DEX DCA Bot

Another example of how trailing stop orders can multiply the DEX DCA bot's profitability. Initially, the take profit was supposed to be triggered at the 10% above the average price, but thanks to the trailing stop order, this number grew to 105.16%, tenfold from the initial target.

Case #3: 45% Trailing Take Profit for $OKAYEG DEX DCA Bot

A great illustration of how trailing take profit works. As you can see in the screenshot below, the trailing stop turned a solid 5% gain into an impressive 45%.

Case #4: 25% Trailing Take Profit for $KTA DEX DCA Bot

Here is another example of a trailing take profit used with the DEX DCA bot. Initially, the take profit target was set at 8%, but thanks to the trailing take profit order, it nearly tripled, resulting in a 25% gain.

Case #5: 26% Trailing Entry Order for $OLIVIA DEX DCA Bot

A great example of how trailing entry order works. It allows your bot to delay entering the market, trailing the price downward and waiting for a better entry point. This way, it helps avoid entering while the market is still declining.

In the case of the $OLIVIA DEX DCA bot, the trailing entry improved the bot’s position by over 26%. Now, imagine the difference in profitability if it had entered the market instantly, a massive improvement.

Conclusion

As you can see, the DCA DEX trading bot is an extremely powerful tool, capable of delivering results unachievable through manual trading, currently available on DEXs exclusively via goodcryptoX. On top of that, goodcryptoX exclusively gives you access to another advanced DEX trading feature - the trailing stop order. When combined with the DCA bot, this feature not only helps you find better entry points but also maximizes every trade by utilizing trailing take profit and stop loss orders.
