SubQuery, the decentralized data aggregator, has successfully concluded a funding round securing $9 million. The primary goal of this funding was to establish Polkadot's inaugural data aggregation layer, a strategic move poised to enhance data indexing capabilities within the burgeoning interoperability network.
The allocated funds have been utilized to further develop SubQuery's data indexing infrastructure, catering to the requirements of all Polkadot and Kusama applications. The company highlighted that the investment would not only contribute to expanding technical capabilities but also facilitate the open-sourcing of its software.
This funding initiative, co-led by Arrington XRP Capital, Digital Currency Group, and Stratos Technologies, witnessed additional participation from notable entities such as Hypersphere Ventures, NGC Ventures, Wintermute, and Skynet Trading. The collective support underscores the shared vision for advancing the field of decentralized data aggregation and fortifying the data indexing foundation for the broader Polkadot ecosystem.
