zkSync is an Ethereum Layer 2 network and scaling protocol with a primary focus on extending Ethereum chain capacities while maintaining the security of the native L1 network. It is powered by Zero-knowledge rollups, founded by Matter Labs as an improved but more complex alternative to the Optimistic rollups method of verifying transactions.
Through its seed funding round, the company has managed to raise over $2M from leading funds including Placeholder, 1kx, Dekrypt Capital, Hashed Fund and Dragonfly Capital. The raised funds were used in developing MVP version of zkSync network.
