Hyperbolic Labs is an AI GPU marketplace that aims to reduce rental costs and lower the entry barrier for AI startups seeking computing power. Meanwhile, GPU providers, whether “AI infrastructure” owners or regular hardware users, get a simplified way to monetize hardware that would otherwise sit idle.
According to CoinLaunch research, the Hyperbolic AI crypto project has raised $19.25M from investors including Polychain Capital, Variant, Lightspeed Faction, and others.

Hyperbolic is a decentralized AI cloud platform that aims to break the monopoly of large AI data centers and make compute resource more available to AI startups. It was founded by Jasper Zhang, a former Citadel Securities quant and Math Olympiad gold medalist.
It lets data centers, NeoClouds, and infrastructure providers, and lets AI startups access this power without lengthy onboarding or connection process. As a result, Hyperbolic Labs AI aggregates the compute power of GPU providers and regular internet users, turning it into a real utility for AI teams worldwide that can connect to the platform simply through SSH access.
To manage the whole process, Hyperbolic crypto project implements the Forge management layer, launched in June 2026, which handles provisioning, security hardening, golden images and wiping each machine after a customer run. Thanks to this an open, permissionless approach and the use of GPUs that would otherwise sit idle, it achieved dramatic cost cuts: $9+/hour on AWS (according to the team's claim) against $4.49/hour on Hyperbolic (according to the Hyperbolic website).
On top of that, the platform offers three GPU provisioning services tailored to specific hardware needs: On-Demand for testing and model enhancement, Reserved for regular hardware use, and Private for custom options. On-Demand is a classic usage-based pricing model where companies pay only when they use the hardware, Reserved allows them to book a GPU for a specific period at a discounted rate, while Private lets clients discuss custom partnership terms with Hyperbolic Labs company.
🪙 Hyperbolic token: As of October 2026, Hyperbolic hasn’t confirmed a native token release.
At the same time, its December 2024 Series A coverage stated that some funds would go toward building its own blockchain. Since the June 2025 rebrand, though, the site markets a plain GPU cloud with no on-chain features.
Nevertheless, considering the token launch experience of Meson Network, Masa, io.net, and other platforms, there’s still a solid probability that an AI DePIN company could pivot to a crypto coin and conduct Hyperbolic airdrop at any time. And if a token appears, it would likely reward GPU suppliers and pay for compute, like most DePIN networks.
✅ Hyperbolic pros:
❌ Hyperbolic cons:
Closed a $12M Series A led by Variant and Polychain Capital, bringing total funding to ~$20M;
Added 96 H100s to the GPU marketplace and launched auto top-ups;
Launched the referral program rewarding users with GPU credits;
Moved to hyperbolic.ai and launched On-Demand GPUs and Reserved clusters;
Introduced the Hyperbolic Partner Program;
Added NVIDIA H200 GPUs to the platform;
Added NVIDIA Nemotron models to the inference catalog;
Launched Hyperbolic Organizations for team accounts;
Launched dedicated model hosting;
Enabled on-demand GPU reservations for up to 30 days;
Launched Forge, the provisioning and lifecycle layer for third-party GPU supply.
Hyperbolic Labs operates an AI cloud and decentralized GPU marketplace that turns global idle compute into affordable on-demand and reserved capacity. It connects data centers, NeoClouds and infrastructure providers into a single network for low-cost AI model training and fine-tuning.
As of October 2026, Hyperbolic crypto platform has removed public mentions of the points system and self-serve hardware supply for regular users, which significantly lowers the odds of a straightforward GPU-provider airdrop or retrodrop. A token launch remains possible given broader crypto market trends, and qualified suppliers can still generate real rental income by contacting the team to onboard capacity. Activity on the demand side (renting or using compute) continues to create on-platform history that could matter if any future incentive program appears.
